Clinical Interests

Dr. Wagner is Medical Director of the Nathan Smith Clinic, the adult HIV clinic at Yale-New Haven Hospital. The clinic provides comprehensive medical services to 750 patients living with HIV/AIDS. Within the Nathan Smith Clinic, Dr. Wagner directs the HIV-Viral Hepatitis Program for HIV patients co-infected with Hepatitis C and/or Hepatitis B. She also oversees the Transition Program for adolescents and young adults with HIV who are transitioning to adult care. Finally, Dr. Wagner directs the HIV Outpatient Elective for Yale Medicine Residents with an interest in HIV Medicine and precepts both Residents and Infectious Disease Fellows.

Dr. Wagner is Associate Firm Chief of the Donaldson/Atkins Firm at Yale-New Haven Hospital, dedicated to the inpatient care of patients with HIV/AIDS. She is responsible for improving patient care, physician-nursing communication, and house-staff education on this specialty service.

HIV and Viral Hepatitis Co-Infection; 2) Transitioning HIV-Infected Adolescents and Young Adults to Adult Care; 3) Education of Internal Medicine Residents in Outpatient HIV Management; 4) Improving the Hospital Discharge Process for Patients and Providers.
