Diseases of the pulmonary circulation, including pulmonary arterial hypertension, critical care medicine, chronic obstructive lung disease.
Dr. Trow has an interest in translational research linking observations made in the basic science lab to clinical disease states. Specifically, he is interested in diseases of the pulmonary circulation including pulmonary arterial hypertension. He serves as the Principle Investigator on an industry sponsored study of combination therapy in the treatment of pulmonary hypertension, and has investigator initiated research endeavors examining the role of biomarkers such as prostaglandin D2 synthase in pulmonary arterial hypertension. He also serves as Co-Principle Investigator on a multi-center longitudinal study of novel endpoints in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Dr. Trow has also served as the Co-Chair of the Clinical Year in Review Sessions at the Annual American Thoracic Society International Meeting for the past 3 years,Chairs the Pulmonary Board Review Course at the annual International Meeting of the American College of Chest Physicians, and is on the Steering Committee of the American College of Chest Physicians Pulmonary Vascular Disease Network.
