Clinical Interests

Motility disorders including:

  • achalasia
  • gastroesophageal reflux disease
  • gastroparesis
  • small intestinal pseudoobstruction
  • bacterial overgrowth

Research Interests

  • Studying the role of small bowel dysmotility in causing bacterial overgrowth and translocation in patients with advanced liver disease.
  • Defining the optimal treatment algorithm for patients with achalasia.
  • Identifying clinical predictors for successful response to anti-reflux surgery in patient with non-acid reflux.
  • Assessing utility of novel technology in diagnosis and management of motility disorders.
