Research Activities

Dr. Mattocks’ research focuses on: 1) reproductive health outcomes and healthcare utilization among returning Iraq/Afghanistan female war veterans and 2) mistrust and endorsement of HIV-related conspiracy beliefs among male African American veterans. Dr. Mattocks primarily relies on qualitative methodologies, including in-depth interviews and focus groups, to understand patient-level perceptions of health and social factors contributing to health outcomes.
