Research Interests
Dr. Martinello's major research interests are in the pathogenesis of respiratory virus infections and the epidemiology of respiratory viruses. Current studies underway include investigations to determine genetic virulence factors in respiratory syncytial virus and the epidemiology of human metapneumovirus in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
