Peter W. Marks, M.D., Ph.D. is a clinician who sees patients with benign and malignant hematologic disorders. He received his medical and graduate training at New York University and was a resident in Internal Medicine and fellow in Hematology/Medical Oncology at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. Following completion of his fellowship he was on the faculty at Brigham and Women's Hospital. Prior to come to Yale, he subsequently worked in the pharmaceutical industry on the clinical development of several different drugs for patients with blood diseases and cancer. His particular areas of expertise include the acute and chronic leukemias and coagulation disorders, focusing his clinical research efforts in these areas. He is involved in the teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows. In this latter capacity he is the director of the Second Year Hematology Module at Yale Medical School. He also directs the Leukemia Service at Yale-New Haven Hospital.
