Research Activities

My research interests are clinically oriented and focus on Lyme disease. I have actively participated in the Yale University Lyme Disease Clinic sine 1992 and have been involved in several clinical studies including evaluating the safety and efficacy of a Lyme vaccine, and the evaluation of persistent symptoms following treatment for well documented Lyme disease.

I have a clinical practice devoted to patients with rheumatic diseases and actively participate in the teaching programs for medical students, residents, and fellows. I was the recipient of the Clinician Scholar Educator award sponsored by the American College of Rheumatology and the Research and Education Foundation of the ACR.
