Research Activities
Dr. Chwastiak’s primary research interest is the impact of psychiatric morbidity on the management of chronic medical illness. She has investigated chronic illness management models and psychiatric co-morbidity in primary care populations and in patients with multiple sclerosis. Her current work focuses on the quality of medical care received by patients with serious and persistent mental illness (schizophrenia).
