Notes: Normal left ventriclular myocardium is generally less than 12mm thick at end-diastole, and will eject approximately 60 percent or more of the blood volume in the left ventricle. The apical four chamber view and the mid-ventricle short axis view are often the most useful for assessing left ventricular myocardial function. The figures here segment terminology for left ventricular myocardium. See "References" for a more complete discussion of segment terminology.
