Atrial Septal Defect at Inferior Vena Cava

Sinoseptal defects refer to those that involve the area of the atrial septum that was derived from the sinus venosus. Although more common to this group are defects that occur at the junction of the superior vena cava and the right atrium, defects may also occur at the junction of the inferior vena cava and the right atrium.
