The Integrative Medicine Center (IMC) is a site for both clinical care and outcomes research in integrative medicine. The center is located at Griffin Hospital and the Yale Prevention Research Center in Derby, CT. The Center was designed to address the public's growing interest in alternative therapies while balancing the need to identify the safest and most effective treatment options available. The IMC provides a unique service to a wide range of patients including those with conditions for which conventional therapies have been unsuccessful or unsatisfactory, those reluctant to access conventional care, and, those simply interested in health prevention. The Center offers dual evaluation by conventional physicians trained in internal and preventive medicine, and naturopathic physicians with expertise in a wide array of natural, complementary and alternative therapies.
Publications about the IMC model of care:
Our physicians and therapists work as a team to create a personalized, holistic program that will meet the overall health and lifestyle needs of adults and children. Because medical and complementary services are seamlessly united into one comprehensive program, we call this approach "Integrative Medicine."
