The Department of Immunobiology has a library consisting of twenty-five journals in Immunobiology, as well as a number of reference books. All members of the department have access to the library and are free to use it whenever they wish. While the journals and reference books cannot be taken from the library, there is a copy machine available at no cost. The main Yale Medical Library is located nearby and has an extensive collection of journals.
In addition, there are several cold rooms, a dark room with automatic film developer, microtiter plate readers, luminometer, and three common equipment rooms housing ultracentrifuges, gamma and beta counters and freezers. Seminars and journal clubs are held in the department's conference room or in nearby lecture halls of Yale Medical School.
Several excellent core facilities in other departments at Yale are available including peptide synthesis, oligonucleotide synthesis, protein sequencing, DNA sequencing, computing and a second flow cytometry facility.
