Under the guidance of Project Director Richard Shiffman, professor of pediatrics and associate director of the Yale Center for Medical Informatics, researchers will collaborate with colleagues at Yale New Haven Hospital and at the Nemours Children's Hospital in Florida, to develop computer-based decision support based on national obesity prevention and asthma guidelines. That support will then be implemented in three ambulatory care sites in New Haven, Florida and Delaware, where it will be evaluated for its effectiveness in improving care and outcomes.
