Giraldez, Antonio In our laboratory we use zebrafish as a model system to investigate the role of microRNAs during vertebrate development.
Jeffrey Gruen Our lab is interested in finding and characterizing genes that cause dyslexia, and studying how variations of these genes affect brain development. In clinical trials of human subjects we are studying how variations of dyslexia genes affect patterns of brain activation using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), and development of gray and white matter.
