Cedar Street Utilities UpgradesWilfrid Lamb00/00/0000 
This project completes the utility upgrades along Cedar Street from Congress Avenue south to Washington Street. The project will remove wood utility poles and place the utility wiring underground. The work to be finished this spring is the installation of a new traffic signal at the intersection of Congress and Cedar Streets. THe intersection of Cedar and Congress will be partially closed temporarily for the erection of the new traffic signal. The construction activity is anticipated to start in April and complete in May 2007.
SHM IE MSH Auditorium Phase IIIRichard Levine04/01/2006 
This project will upgrade the finishes and furnishings at the Mary S Harkness Auditorium in Sterling Hall of Medicine. Work starts in June 2006 and is completed in February 2007.
BML 109-130 Laboratory RenovationMichael Schrier04/17/2006 
This project is a comprehensive renovation of the north side of the first floor of Brady Memorial Laboratory for the Department of Pathology. Work is anticipated to start in April of 2006 and will complete in May 2007.
BML 337-350 Laboratory RenovationMichael Schrier04/17/2006 
This project is a comprehensive renovation of the south side of the third floor of Brady Memorial Laboratory for the Department of Pathology. Work is anticiapted to start in April and will complete in May 2007.
SHM I Elevator # 3 UpgradeJohn Schuster06/06/2006 
This project will complete the upgrade of the I-wing elevators, the cab was upgraded under a prior project. This project will replace the elevator controller with a modern solid state system. The hoist mechanism will also be replaced and upgrades will be made to the machine room to meet Code requirements.
ESH Apts Elevator UpgradeJohn Schuster06/20/2006 
This project will replace the existing elevator car, control system, hall call stations, and hoist equipment. The cab interior will have a new floor, ceiling, lighting, walls, and control station. Upgrade will meet ADA requirements and latest Fire Code.
SHM B 402-413 & SHMC 402A-414 LAB RENOVJayshree Pugh09/12/2006 
This project of about 5,400 sf will renovate existing labs and a toilet facility at the fourth floor of SHM B and C wings for the department of Neurobiology. The renovation at SHMB 4 labs will include patch and paint for the most part. The wet benches and finishes in the existing test labs will be replaced with new. Some of the non lab spaces will be converted in to (2) additional Testing labs with all new finishes. The faculty and research offices will get new finishes. The SHMC 4 will be a comprehensive renovation including removal of non structural walls and upgrade of infrastructure. Two new labs will be created, a larger Dry/Computational lab for Theoretical Neuroscience which will accommodate one office for the director and (4) offices shared by researchers and a central open area for research collaboration. A smaller Physiology lab will accommodate (2) physiology rigs, a new wet bench and fume hood. The existing Men’s toilet at SHMC 4 will be replaced with two separate ADA compliant unisex toilets with all new finishes and fixtures.
LSOG 2 & 3 Lab RenovationsWen Lin09/15/2006 
The proposed renovation of the research space of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology involves a complete reorganization of approximately 20,500 g.s.f. of space on the second and the third floor of LSOG. The project will modernize the antiquated laboratory space of LSOG using an open floor plan model more suited to the research of the Department. The design shall be flexible so that the space meets the needs of future occupants with minimal renovation.
ESH Apartments to OfficesWilfrid Lamb09/29/2006 
This project involves the conversion of 27 apartments in Edward S.Harkness Memorial Hall into potentially 54 offices for administrative purposes. This is accomplished by removing apartment bathrooms and kitchens on floors 2, 3 and 4, refinishing the original floors, walls and ceilings, providing new fan coil heating/air-conditioning and upgrading electrical power, lighting and communications systems. Related projects will upgrade the mechanical infrastructure systems in the basement, provide new fancoils in the 1st floor and provide new windows on all floors. Completion is scheduled for August 2007.
LMP Elevator UpgradeJohn Schuster10/09/2006 
This project will replace the existing elevator car, control system, hall call stations, and hoist equipment. The cab interior will have a new floor, ceiling, lighting, walls, and control station. Upgrade will meet ADA requirements and latest Fire Code. Elevator will receive new electrical power including emergency operation.
YSM Standby Power Phase 6John Schuster12/28/2006 
This project continues the coverage of YSM buildings with "Standby " and Emergency electric power supplied by diesel generators. The project adds the electrical feeders from the generator in TAC to switchboards to provide power via automatic transfer switches to the Brady Building, LLCI, and the MRC including the new PET Center.
LEPH 9 BSL 3 FacilityWen Lin02/15/2007 
The project involves a complete reorganization of 6,500 g.s.f. of the existing ninth floor of LEPH. The proposed renovation is to create a Biosafety Level 3 core laboratory facility suitable for invitro/invivo, microbiology and cell culture work . The project will create a facility with an access controlled sequence of research, equipment, animal holding and cleaning/support spaces. The research space will be organized in a pod system to allow for stand alone concurrent high risk studies to occur without contaminating the adjacent rooms. The work shall include removal of non-structural walls; installation of new metal stud and gypsum board partitions; installation of new animal holding spaces, autoclaves and cage wash which facilitate cleaning and housekeeping; installation of new flooring; and installation of improved lighting.
