Boardman Building 1& 2 Completion: Fall of 2008

This project provides new administrative offices for the Department of Internal Medicine on the first floor and the Department of Surgery on the second floor. It is a comprehensive renovation that converts existing clinical spaces to a suite of offices and support spaces including the offices for the Chairman of the Department of Internal Medicine. The project incorporates numerous measures in support of Yale University’s comprehensive sustainability strategy.
 
Brady Memorial Laboratory 2nd Floor Completion: Fall of 2008 (Phase 1)
  Project Manager: Michael Schrier
This project is a comprehensive renovation that creates three open-design laboratories, laboratory support space, faculty offices and administrative support space for the Department of Surgery. This project is designed to meet the US Green Building Council’s LEED Gold Certification program in support of Yale University’s comprehensive sustainability strategy.
 
Sterling Hall of Medicine, C Wing, 4th floor Completion: Spring of 2009
  Project Manager: J. Eric Overland
This project is a comprehensive renovation to existing laboratories for the Department of Cell Biology. It provides a state of the art wet bench laboratory facility with 36 workstations featuring a fully flexible laboratory casework installation. Also provided is a 60 person meeting space and office suite with break room. The project is designed to meet the US Green Building Council’s LEED Gold Certification program in support of Yale University’s comprehensive sustainability strategy. This renovation is the final major project of the complete renovation of the Sterling Hall of Medicine, C Wing that has taken place over the past 10 years.
 
Sterling Hall of Medicine, I Wing, Completion: Fall 2009
2nd & 3rd Floors, Ph 1 Project Manager: Michael Schrier
This project creates four open-design laboratories for the Department of Genetics on the third floor and for the Child Study Center and Cancer Center on the second floor. The renovation includes new infrastructure and complete interior laboratory fit out throughout. The project provides new laboratory support spaces such as equipment rooms, microscopy suites, tissue culture rooms and cold rooms as well as offices and administrative support space. This project is designed to meet the US Green Building Council’s LEED Gold Certification program in support of Yale University’s comprehensive sustainability strategy.
 
Farnam Memorial Building, 3rd Floor Completion: Winter 2009
  Project Manager: Mark Francis
This major office renovation at the 3rd floor of the Farnam Memorial Building will upgrade existing offices for the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences. It is a comprehensive renovation that converts existing laboratories and offices to a suite of offices and administrative support spaces. The project incorporates numerous measures in support of Yale University’s comprehensive sustainability strategy.
 
SPP Cogeneration Completion: Fall of 2010
  Project Manager: John Christofor
The University’s Sterling Power Plant currently generates all the thermal energy (steam and chilled water) for the Yale School of Medicine and Yale-New Haven Hospital. This project installs cogeneration equipment at Sterling Power Plant to allow simultaneous production of electric and thermal energy. It also provides for future chilled water production capacity. Utilization of co-generation technology will result in more efficient plant operations than the current arrangement. This project makes a major contribution to Yale University’s comprehensive sustainability strategy.
