The Operations Center The Operations Center is committed to handling our customer’s facilities and commuting needs through operation of the Customer Service Center, management of YSM Leased Properties and the development of Parking/Transit solutions for the YSM community.

Customer Service Center
The Customer Service Center is the communications hub for Building Services and Operations, handling well over 25,000 calls per year. Please call our Customer Service Center at any time to report an emergency condition or other problem that requires immediate attention. For routine service requests please call us during our regular business hours (Weekdays 7:30AM - 5:30PM ). We welcome your requests for service and general inquiries (i.e., work order scheduling, status and billing).

A service request may be submitted to us in one of the following ways:

• Request for Service Form via the web
• Fax your request to the Customer Service Center 7-4446
• Send an electronic mail request to fix.it@yale.edu
• Mail a Request for Services to the Customer Service Center, LEPH 173

1. Upon receipt of the request, the Customer Service Center will relay the information to the appropriate shop or service unit.
2. A determination will be made whether the project is University-funded maintenance (non-billable) or departmental service (billable).
3. The Customer Service Center will then notify the requesting department of the project's billable or non-billable status and will provide a cost estimate upon request.
4. A work order number will be assigned for a non-billable project.
5. If the project is billable, the requesting department is asked to provide a PTAEO, and the work order will be forwarded to the appropriate shop or service unit.
6. The shop or service unit will contact the requesting department, if necessary, and set a schedule to complete the work.
