Yale School of Medicine Parking
The
parking system at Yale School of Medicine has been developed to
provide safe and convenient parking for faculty, staff and students
who work, attend classes or study in the medical area. We are also
glad to accommodate the many patients and guests who frequent the
medical area facilities. The members of the parking department are
committed to providing friendly and courteous service to the YSM
community and it’s guests.

Employee
Parking
Surface lots and parking garages
throughout the medical campus are available for all staff members.
Fees are based on salary. Space allocation is based on staff function,
space availability, and seniority. All lots and garages are monitored
by security personnel, and some also include cameras, and restricted

Student
Parking
Student parking at the Yale School of Medicine is on a limited,
first come first serve basis. Parking is located in either the Air
Rights Garage or Amistad Parking
Garage. There is a two-tier fee structure for student parking
depending on the lot of choice. Please contact the YSM Parking/Transit
office 785-6456 for details. Payment for parking is on a full
semester basis only. Acceptable forms of payment are bank card,
credit card, personal check, cash or bursar billing. You may

Daily
Parking
For mass transit riders, and infrequent drivers, we offer a daily
pass at the Amistad Garage. Tickets can be purchased for up to five
passes at a time.
Conference
Services
By individual arrangement, we offer group parking for single and
multi day events. If you will be hosting meetings, conferences,
daily training sessions, please call us to pre-arrange parking for
your guest.
Patient
and Visitor Parking
The Howard Avenue Garage is open Monday through Friday from 6 AM
until 9PM, is conveniently located near the 800 Howard Avenue Physicians
building, YNHH, and most of the clinics in the School of Medicine.
It is convenient and safe for long term parking when away on a business
trip.
Transit Services
YSM transit buses run daily to many areas of the Yale campus. These
are courtesy shuttles provided for members of the Yale University
community.
The
Bio Med shuttle runs between Lot 22 on Whitney Avenue, the Railroad
Station, and the main entrance to Sterling Hall of Medicine at 333
Cedar Street. It runs from 7:50 AM until 6:34 PM Monday through
Friday.
The
Veterans Hospital shuttle runs from 6:00 AM until 6:30 PM daily,
and leaves the 333 Cedar Street Sterling Hall of Medicine entrance
every fifteen minutes.
The
Yale New Haven Hospital shuttle runs between several stops around
the medical center facilities and the Railroad Station at various
times during the day from 5:40 AM to 6:05 PM.
We
can help with your busing needs for office picnics, professional
events, and any type of activity which will require group transportation.
These are billable services which can be arranged on your behalf.
