Undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral students are invited to inquire about training, internship, thesis and other research opportunities at the Vector Ecology Laboratory. Students may qualify for financial support in the forms of internships, assistantships, and fellowships, which depend upon availability and need. Equipment and supplies are available for thesis projects that qualify as supporting the research objectives of the laboratory.
Fellowships are available to support Ph.D. students interested in vector
biology and vector-borne diseases through a grant from the National Centers
for Disease Control. Yale provides unique training opportunities in epidemiology,
entomology, and
microbiology of vector-borne diseases in an interdisciplinary program
of field and laboratory studies. Applications are due before January

Summer fellowships to
MPH students interested in vector-borne diseases are available
through The
CDC Fellowship Training Program at Yale. This program is designed to
prepare graduates for future work in public health agencies, research institutions
and private industry, it provides support for training in epidemiology,
entomology, arbovirology, ecology, and microbiology of vector-borne pathogens,
with an emphasis on the integration of field laboratory disciplines. Internships
may take place with any academic, government, or non-profit organization
that provides suitable specialized training. Applications are due before
