Quick Links: How do I get a printing account? For Faculty, Staff, and Students:You already have one! Your print account information and yale account information are the same. Simply login with your netid and password to print your print job. For Visitors:
Using a web browser, go to the
ITS
Print Account Management page and follow the Create a PrintID link.
How do I put money in my account? There are currently four ways to add funds to a print account:
How do I print? Each printer in a public computing cluster has an associated print station that is located next to the printer. Once you have sent your print job walk over to the print station and enter your NetID or PrintID and password. You will now be able to see all the jobs in the queue and how much money is in your account. The list of print jobs shows the name of the job, the username or the name of the computer that sent the job, the number of pages in the job, and how much it will cost to print it. Click on the job you want to print and click on "PRINT". If you have enough money in your account, the job will begin printing. For your protection, when you are finished using the print station click on "EXIT" to logout. Otherwise, you will automatically be logged out after 30 seconds of idle time. How much does printing cost?
What if I need a refund? The refund process will change, but for now one should e-mail uniprint.service@yale.edu with the specifics on the job and identify the print queue or device they were printing to. RIS investigates the requests daily and responds to the users within 24 hours. If you are leaving Yale permanently, you may request a refund of any remaining money in your print account. Go to one of the clusters or an authorized RIS cashier. You'll need to provide the reason for a refund and your permanent address. RIS will process your refund.
If you have a problem printing:Please report problems with printers to the library circulation desk or fill out the form at http://info.med.yale.edu/eph/phlibrary/compquestion.html |
