Circulation PolicyAll books must be charged out at the Circulation Desk. A current Yale identification card is required by all borrowwers. Journals, Essays, Reference materials DO NOT CIRCULATE. Course Reserve and Closed Reserve materials. The loan period is 2 hours and items can be renewed if no one is waiting for them. Readings may be checked out 1 hour before the library closing, and must be returned by 9:30 a.m. the following day to the Circulation Desk. Materials that are listed in ORBIS as charged may be placed on hold when they return, or recalled from the person currently borrowing the material. Holds and recalls can be requested at the Circulation Desk, or by completing an electronic Recall/Hold Request Form. Books can be requested from other Yale Libraries by using Eli Express. This service can be requested at the Circulation Desk, or by completing an electronic Eli Express Request Form. Loan periods: Two months Renewals: Readers may renew books by bringing them into the library or by submitting the book's barcode number and their ID number by mail, fax, *e-mail, or by completing the electronic Loan Renewals Form. Lost Book: $20.00 non-refundable processing fee, accrued fines and price of the book. All charges will be sent to the Bursar's Office and billed to the student's account. |
