Bradley Joins International Health Care Forum
An agency that monitors global health has invited Dr. Elizabeth H. Bradley, Ph.D., Director of the Health Management Program and Global Health Initiatives at the Yale School of Public Health, to join its international advisory panel. The World Economic Forum’s Agenda Council on Healthcare Systems seeks to bring together approximately 30 specialists with a range of backgrounds to analyze global health concerns. The organization monitors and prioritizes global health issues, develops possible solutions and also is available to assist in crisis situations. The Geneva, Switzerland–based Council convenes quarterly, with a summit to be held in Dubai in November. “Your intellectual leadership and experience would be of great benefit to the Council,” the agency said in its invitation letter to Bradley. Bradley has accepted the offer, saying that “I am honored to serve in this capacity, especially as we expand Yale’s role in improving health systems globally. The World Economic Forum can play a vital role in improving access to higher quality health services in the world, which is essential to economic development.” Bradley has a broad–range of research interests, including quality of health care services, with attention to acute care, long–term care, hospice and strengthening global health systems. Her work also focuses on extensive hospital–based quality improvement efforts in the United States and internationally. In addition, she helps direct the Yale–Clinton Foundation Fellowship in International Healthcare Management and has active projects in Ethiopia, Liberia, and South Africa. |
