Masters of Science in Epidemiology and Public Health (M.S. in EPH)
The M.S. in EPH is offered in two specialty areas: Biostatistics and Chronic Disease Epidemiology. The Biostatistics track is a two-year program. The Chronic Disease Epidemiology track is a one-year program.
The M.S. in EPH degree program puts great emphasis on mastering the skills in individual specialty areas within public health. This degree program is designed to train individuals for work in high demand fields such as biotechnology and medical research in the pharmaceutical industry. The M.S. in EPH is a marketable terminal degree for those who choose not to pursue a Ph.D. degree. The M.S. in EPH degree is ideal for professionals in the pharmaceutical industry and other science Ph.D.s, or medical professionals who seek the skills necessary to conduct epidemiological research in their professional practice. Graduates gain technical skills in computer data analysis as well as a broad, well-rounded knowledge of public health.
The M.S. in EPH is administered through the Graduate School
of Arts and Sciences. The Departmental doctoral committee and
the Director of Graduate Studies are responsible for overseeing the progress
of these students. |
