Academic Year 2007-2008 Calendar

Spring 2007

Mandatory exit interviews will begin for graduating students.  This interview will cover loans taken while enrolled at the School of Medicine. Graduates also may make an appointment for a comprehensive (covering undergraduate/graduate school) exit interview at the School of Medicine’s Financial Aid Office.

5/1/2007

Deadline for submitting ALL financial aid application materials from all students in the 2007-2008 academic year.

3/15/2007

Begin the evaluation and mailing of financial aid awards to entering students.

July-August

Financial aid award letters for 2007-2008 are sent to entering and returning students.  Loan applications are processed for the 2007/2008 academic year.

8/27/2007

Registration for entering students.

9/04/2007

First day of classes for entering students.  No fall-term financial aid funds will be disbursed before this date.  You may apply for an advance on your financial aid if the amount owed the Student Financial Services Office is less than the amount of funding received.

9/05/2007

Registration for returning students.

Orientation Week

Mandatory entrance interviews for all first-time financial aid recipients (entering and returning students).

9/30/2007

Deadline for submitting Stafford (Subsidized and Unsubsidized) and other Loan Program applications for the fall term.

10/1/2007

Last day financial aid applications will be accepted for the spring term.

10/22/2007

Graduation

1/1/2008

Earliest date that Need Access and FAFSA will accept 2008-2009 forms for processing.  Families should file tax returns and Need Access and FAFSA forms as soon as possible after January 1.

1/05/2008

Spring term registration for all students.
