The curriculum
Required Clinical ClerkshipsThere are seven required clinical Clerkships, in the third year, forty-eight weeks in all. One may be deferred until the fourth year, but it must be completed by December. The twelve week Internal Medicine Clerkship in the third year includes a four-week rotation in a primary care setting. There is also in the fourth year a required four-week Primary Care Clerkship that offers educational programs and a variety of community and practice-based sites which give students a unique opportunity to expand their knowledge and expertise in the realm of primary care medicine. And, of course, there are numerous clinical electives which may be taken in the fourth year.
