Staff

Members of the Section of Dermatopathology manage one of the most highly utilized laboratories for the diagnosis of skin diseases in Connecticut. Board certified Dermatopathologists specialize in the discovery of new diagnostic techniques. In conjunction with the Yale Cancer Center, the service provides comprehensive diagnostic capabilities for benign and malignant skin lesions. The physician team and specially trained technicians are committed to excellence in diagnoses and a timely turnaround of reports, which are vitally important in patient care.

The Yale Dermatopathology is currently the most sophisticated and technically advanced laboratory in the region. It provides diagnosis of the highest quality routine and specially stained sections. The laboratory is equipped with all of the commonly used and some of the more esoteric immunoperoxidase techniques, is providing diagnostic services based on immunofluorescence and molecular biologic techniques in addition to standard diagnostic tests.
