Overview
The Yale Small Animal Imaging Core can provide multimodality imaging services for phenotyping of rodents.
Description of services
- Ultrasound imaging: State-of-the-art ultrasound imaging system
(Philips, Sonos7500 with 12 and 15 MHz transducers) with full 2-D, Doppler,
and M-mode capability is available for imaging as fee-for-service as
part of NIH SIG. Imaging performed by trained staff.
- Hybrid microSPECT / X-ray CT imaging system: State-of-the-art
dedicated small animal hybrid imaging system (GammaMedica, X-SPECT)
available for imaging as fee-for-service as part of NIH SIG. Imaging
performed by trained staff.
New users would need to file application for review by advisory committee.
Both consultation and collaborative services are available to evaluate
applicability of these imaging systems for proposed projects.
