Professional Development & Consultation What is the Professional Development Unit? Professional Development and Consultation (PD&C) is the unit that oversees training and consultation services for the School Development Program. Its mission is to help schools and school districts build the support systems needed to fully implement the Comer Process. Professional
Development Opportunities At the national level, ongoing professional development opportunities
provide participants with a deepened understanding of the Comer Process
and an increasing array of skills for implementing it. The programs are
designed to help schools and districts develop leadership teams that are
prepared to provide the energy for change. New best practices and new
knowledge about the model are continuously incorporated into the content
of the academies and the opportunity to learn with peers from throughout
the country enriches the experience. Consultation
Services Would you like to have a needs assessment conducted? Are you looking
for special assistance in setting up a school-university partnership?
Would it be helpful to have an experienced Comer professional facilitate
your child-centered planning process?
The PD&C Unit is prepared to provide these and many other kinds of customized
consulting and assistance. More Information Director |
