Endowed Lectures

There are three endowed lectures given annually by outstanding scientists in the areas of the Biophysics of Excitable Membranes and Membrane Transport. The lectures honor three distinguished scientists who are former members of the faculty of the Department of Cellular and Molecular Physiology.

  • The Robert W. Berliner Memorial Lecture

    Jared Grantham, MD, from the University of Kansas School of Medicine, presented the Robert W. Berliner Lecture on May 3, 2007. The title of his lecture is "Robert Berliner, Fluid secretion and renal cysts." (Pictures from evenings fesitivities.)
  • Peter F. Curran Lecture

Robert C. Boucher, MD, from the University of North Carolina presented the 22nd Peter F. Curran Lecture on Thursday, December 7. The topic of his lecture was "Mysteries of the thin film: Regulation of airway surface liquid in health and disease."
