Parents
do not raise children alone. Family, friends, caregivers,
teachers, church and community members can all be profound
influences on our children's lives. By creating a web of
supportive and caring relationships around all our children,
we show them a world of relationships that can be sustaining
and enriching. Children need to feel the love and involvement
of many people in their lives. They need to learn that people
outside of their family can be trusted to care for them.
They need to see many models of how to lead a successful
life. They need adults who advocate for them and create
a world full of possibilities for their future.

works to build bridges between the institutions that care
for young children and between parents and those institutions.
