Early Care and Education Resources

This Resource List has been compiled to help your setting to find resources for professional development, networking, and referral for families in need of services.

Professional Development Supports:

Connecticut Charts-A-Course (CCAC) is the statewide professional development system for early education and school-age care. CCAC’s mission is to support career development and program improvement by promoting the achievement of national and state professional standards.

Connecticut Charts-A-Course was created to support the dedicated professionals who work with Connecticut's children through professional recognition for educational achievements, career counseling, scholarship assistance for early childhood education and accreditation support for child care facilities seeking national accreditation. CCAC also created over 350 hours of standardized workshop training that is currently being delivered by 10 training agencies in CT through the Training Program in Child Development. This workshop training satisfies the training requirement for the CDA credential and can also be translated into college credit.

Connecticut Charts-A-Course keeps a registry of all early care and education professionals in Connecticut. They can help you to plan your career and are knowledgeable about scholarship resources.
