Samuel Ritvo, M.D.
Research Interests
Dr. Samual Ritvo, Clinical Professor of Psychiatry, has been with the Child Study Center since 1965. His research interests include adolescent development, eating disorders and body image problems in child analysis, anxiety and symptom formation, as well as longitudinal studies of child development. At one time, Dr. Ritvo was the President of the American Psychoanalytic Association and the Association for Child Psychoanalysis. Dr. Ritvo went to Harvard University before attending the Yale University School of Medicine, where he earned his M.D. Prior to coming to the Yale Child Study Center, Dr. Ritvo was a training and supervising analyst for the Western New England Institute for Psychoanalysis and the New York Psychoanalytic Institute.
