Mr. Tyson was able to perform activities of daily living at the nursing home, including feeding and bathing himself, but requires a walker and occasionally a wheelchair to get around.
He was brought to the E.R. when family members visited him over the holiday weekend and noted that he was more somnolent than usual. The nursing staff agreed and they called an ambulance.
The patient was unable to give any history upon arrival, but the staff at the nursing home state that he was "his normal self a few days ago."
His medications include Digoxin, Lasix, Captopril, Theodur and Orinase.
