Physical Examination
Physical exam reveals a thin man in mild respiratory distress.
Vital signs
Temp 103 degrees; pulse 120; R 32; BP 120/76.
HEENT
Conjunctivae and fundi are benign; TMs are normal; oropharynx reveals mild thrush.
Lymph nodes
Diffusely enlarged to about 1-2 cm in the neck, axillae and groin.
Chest
Faint rales at the bases but otherwise clear.
Heart
RRR with a 1/6 holosystolic murmur at the apex that is non-radiating.
Abdomen
Symmetrical, non-tender; no organomegaly or mass.
G/R
Normal.
Extremities
Normal.
Skin
Diffusely dry with a fine scale over the posterior arms and legs; there are old and recent injection marks on all extremities.
Neurological exam
Nonfocal.
