 Charlotte Scarlotti: IntroductionDr. Grey's nurse, Mona, knocked loudly three times on the exam room door, signaling an emergency. Dr. Grey excused himself, opened the door, and saw that Mona looked worried. "Charlotte Scarlotti is having chest pain in room 6. And she doesn't look very good!" When Dr. Grey stepped into the exam room the first thing he saw was Mike Scarlotti, Charlotte's husband, sitting in a chair next to the exam table where Charlotte lay with her eyes closed. Dr.Grey had shared many laughs with this good-natured couple during the 20 years that Charlotte had been coming to his office as a patient, with Mike always by her side.
A quick review of Charlotte's medical record reminded him that she was not taking any medication. She had been a heavy smoker up until 2 years ago when she stopped with the help of bupropion hydrochloride  |
