Contact InfoDonna Snedeker 203-737-1600 BiosketchDr. Jill Lacy is Associate Professor of Medicine in the Section of Medical Oncology at Yale School of Medicine with over 15 years of experience as a practicing Medical Oncologist, including ten years dedicated to the treatment of patients with brain tumors. Dr. Lacy graduated from Yale School of Medicine in 1978, completed training in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology at Yale, and is board-certified in both Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology. In 1985, after completing her fellowship training in Medical Oncology, she joined the full-time faculty in the Section of Medical Oncology at Yale with an emphasis on the diagnosis and treatment of lymphomas, including primary Central nervous system lymphomas. In 1993, Dr. Lacy became a member of the multi-disciplinary Brain Tumor Unit at Yale as the Medical Oncologist. Dr. Lacy's major role in the Brain Tumor Unit has been to provide expertise in the role and use of chemotherapy in treating brain tumors. She has treated over 400 hundred patients with a variety of brain tumors, including gliomas, lymphomas, medulloblastomas, germ cell tumors, and metastatic tumors. Her specific areas of clinical interest include primary CNS lymphomas, high dose chemotherapy with stem cell support, and the use of chemotherapy as a potential alternative to immediate radiation therapy in patients with chemosensitive tumors. Dr. Lacy has been and is currently the Principle Investigator on over a dozen clinical trials that incorporate chemotherapy in the management of primary or metastatic brain tumors. |
