II. Arterial Supply to the Arm

You have already been presented with the arterial supply of the arm. Refer to the material in week 4 and use the diagram below to review. Pay particular attention to the anastamoses around the elbow. Note that collateral arteries descend the arm and recurrent arteries ascend the arm. Be sure that you are familiar with the following arteries.

• Brachial
• accompanies median nerve
• Profunda Brachii (deep brachial)- accompanies redial nerve in radial groove
  • anterior branch
  • posterior branch
• Superior Ulnar Collateral
• Inferior Ulnar Collateral
• Radial Recurrent
• Anterior Ulnar Recurrent
• Posterior Ulnar Recurrent
